MARKET TALK: M’sia Plantations Hog Limelight; Higher CPO Price

0844 GMT [Dow Jones] Plantation stocks continue to hog limelight with September crude palm oil trading above MYR2,500/ton, says dealer; “hopes of a global economic recovery continue to drive buying interest,” says one dealer.

Among gainers, IOI Corp (1961.KU) +2.1% at MYR5.37, Sime Darby (4197.KU) +1.2%
at MYR8.42, KL Kepong (2445.KU) +2.9% at MYR14.00, IJM Plantation (2216.KU) +7.4% at MYR3.05. Plantation subindex +2.2% at 6071.71, outperforming KLCI’s 0.1% rise to 1186.84. (VGB)
