Sapuracrest Petroleum Bhd (8575)said its second quarter net profit jumped 63 per cent as it made more money from the installation of pipelines and facilities, marine services and operations and maintenance.
Net profit in the quarter to July 31 2009 was RM52.4 million, up from RM32.1 million in the same quarter a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter also rose 14.2 per cent to RM1.03 billion from RM903.1 million, mainly due to its pipe-laying business and offshore drilling divisions, among others.
